Gang,
Just wanted to start up some NFL talk, instead of just focusing on fantasy football. I know our world is a fantasy, with fantasy sports controling every move we make in the sporting world, but let's talk some good ole' fashioned football.
I know my San Francisco 49ers are playing well below expectations and it's starting to irk me. Even with Alex Smith under helm, the offense is failing to get the job done. Frank Gore has been a underachiever, Darrell Jackson has been a non factor and was a waste of a fantasy pick, and finally Vernon Davis did something good. Only took him 1.5 years
Your thoughts? How are your teams fairing? Need to vent a little bit?
Let's get this Bruno Boys Forum going! Tell your friends about it, and tell them to tell there friends!

Well, things aren't much better over here in Chicago.
Trading away Jones was a HUGE mistake. now we have some crybaby back who's averaging somewhere around 3.1 yards per carry. And he has the nerves to go off on his critics? Ron Turner is a horrible play caller. The Bears need to win games nd hes sitting out there playing conservatively and then in the 4th quarters all of a sudden the bears' O finally shows up.
I'm beginning to think that curses are a big part in the NFL. I mean Vince Young got hurt (granted it wasn't that bad, but the way he's playin he might as well be hurt). And now there's the Super Bowl curse with the loser of it not makin it to the playoffs the next year.

Cavigs,
Our boys suck. I didnt believe in all thr hype but i also didnt believe we would be this bad. THe bad thing is we wont even get our top 10 pick becasue we traded it away to who.... the already stacked Pats. God It sucks being a Bay Area sports fan.

............and the struggle continues!!!!
Let's hope they show up on Monday Night Football and beat the Seahawks. If so, they shockingly would only be one game out of the division lead.
Talk about being scary!

It's just terrible. I could not have been more embarassed on Monday. I think Alex is a good guy but not #1 pick material. Imagine if we waited... We coulda had Young, Leinart or Cutler. Heck id take Trent Edwards! Cant put all the blame on him but I knew right from the start he would be a bust.

Although, there still probably wouldn't be anyone to throw him the football. I like Leinart and Cutler, but I am not sold on Vince Young. I think he is nothing more than a poor mans Mike Vick, and he will never be able to win the big game. Just my opinion, as I strongly believe that Pocket Passers still are the best option at the quarterback postion. -Cavigs Bruno Boys Fantasy Football P.S. - You going to make the playoffs in our league or what? As for me, sitting in 1st place at 8-2 baby!

Another great game from our beloved Niners! lol I dont understand why they wait for the last drive to try and play decent... Its really embarassing how bad they are.
Anyways I need your help this week! Can you try and win your game please! lol It looks like if i can keep my streak going ( Thank you Randy Moss) It will come down to me needing a W against you in the last week for a playoff spot!

It's amazing. The 49ers have 17 points, and two 1st half touchdowns and it's not even halftime yet.
Looks like they should have brought Ted Tollner in earlier to help the offense.
Plus, Frank Gore scored for the 1st time since week 2, and he is getting passes thrown his way!!!

How bout them San Francisco 49ers. They stun the Arizona Cardinals in overtime in week 13, and then get boat raced by the struggling Carolina Panthers in week 14.
What a terrible year it has been. They had 6 turnovers last week, and Dilfer got picked off 4 times. Hey Trent, there is a reason why you are known as such a great "backup" and "mentor", it's because you lack the ability to get the job done in this league. Super Bowl ring and whatever else, Dilfer is a joke!
We want Alex Smith back (insert joke here)
