Ok, this year I have had to deal with losing Brady + V Young. This has led me to working the waiver wire and trading wizardry. i have found the 2 for 1 trade typically works. What are some other strategies that work?

Picklenator - I have personally found that many fantasy football veterans that know what they are doing usually won't trade their better player for two lesser players. That is a trick you do to play on the weaker opponents, giving what looks like better value, but in fact, you are the one getting better value as you get the best player plus you can pick someone else up, sometimes just as good as the player you just traded. For me, what typically works for trade strategy is to be up and honest with the individual that I am dealing with. "Hello Mr. X, I noticed that you are pretty strong at the WR position but lack a true RB2, where as I am very strong at RB and pretty weak at WR. Maybe we can work together to better both of our teams." I don't beat around the bush, I just let them know what and why I am interested. If the owner is interested he will appreciate the honesty and work with you until you both form some type of agreement or both decide to just walk away. One other strategy that I have noticed that works is just spam a bunch of trades. By that I mean put out about 10 trade requests, sometimes multiple ones to the same person. Someone usually will bite, or at least counter. And don't forget about the Bruno Boys Sunday Morning Marathon! very good summation. i conducted two trades, the first was a 2 for 1 (but they totally need two lesser as they had nothing) and the other was a straight up trade as you mentioned re strenghts / weaknesses. never consider the trade blitz, would be fun especially if they all accepted!

Lol. Just be careful. Sometimes the trades you propose when you are tired and on your last beer don't look nearly good in the morning. And don't forget about the Bruno Boys Sunday Morning Marathon! Beer and drunk trading, been there done that and I'll admit sometimes they don't look all that good when the other half has accepted the deal and you have to beg to the commish to get it revoked. Haha!

Is it just me or is this discussion making anyone else thirsty?
