I am not going to state how much the league buy in was, because I think that is irrelevant. What I would like is to see what Bruno Boys Nation has to say about my team. This is your chance to critique me. The following is my roster and an explanation of the draft. Keep in mind this is a no-trade league, you can only pick up 1 free agent a week and that starts in week 4. It is a 12-team league and we HAD to have the following roster spots filled:
3 QB's
4 RB's
5 WR's
2 TE's
2 DST's
2 K's
1 Bench spot any position.
Being that there are only 32 teams, you can do the math and realize that many teams ended up with NFL backups. I feel I did a very nice job at an overall balanced roster that does not have many bye-week complications and is fairly deep to where I can play matchups on a weekly basis. Here it goes:
QB's: Garrard, Kitna, V.Young
RB's: Bush, Turner, Parker, Chris Johnson, Felix Jones
WR's: Wayne, Holt, Roy Williams, L. Robinson, Bryant Johnson
TE's: Zach Miller and Greg Olsen
K's: Bironas and Gould
DST's: Ravens and Seahawks
I made sure that bye-weeks were not a problem, except for in week four I will be missing Roy Williams and Reggie Wayne. Other than that 2 of my backup RB's (Parker and Johnson) have week 6 off.
I waited until the 9th to grab a QB, and two of the three after that were also QB's. The reason I did that instead of getting better WR depth (my WR's kept flying off the boards that I wanted so I figured I would capitalize) is that I needed to carry three QB's, and with it being a 12 team league, 36 QB's minimum were going to be drafted. I feel that I can take injury and still be successful. In fact, other than WR depth (Robinson and Johnson do have very solid sleeper potential), I don't really see a weakness. I grabed my K's in the last few rounds, as I did my DST's (last third of draft) and my TE's.
This was a 12 team league, and once again, thanks to the knowledge that I have gained from writing with the Bruno Boys I feel I have dominated. This is a PPR league, no trading and we only get one free agent a week starting in week 4. Barring injuries, this should be a very solid year in my money league.
Thoughts, opinions?
