I'm some what of a rookie when it comes to fantasy football so I'm just looking for some opinions of my draft. The flow of alcohol didn't help any of us in the later rounds (12 team league). I'm not real comfotable with my RB situation. I feel I'm loaded at WR. Please rank my overall team. Thanks!
QB - Derek Anderson / David Garrard
RB - Steven Jackson / Edgerrin James / Chester Taylor / Kenny Watson
WR - Fitzgerrald / Andre Johnson / Santonio Holmes / Reggie Williams / Sydney Rice / Issac Bruce
TE - Dallas Clark
Def - Chicago Bears
K - Stephen Gostkowski

I agree. You are stacked at WR and weak at RB. For a newb, you did well to draft only 1 TE, K, and Def.
However, I see you landed Gostkowski. Im betting you got him in an earlier round to get one of the top kickers. Next time try to get some better depth at a skill position (in this case RB) instead of reaching for a K. There may have been a Matt Forte or a Kevin Smith available at that point. Both no-name rookies but they should put up some points.
Try to find another owner who is weak at WR and package Holmes and Edge for an upgrade at RB. Or even better, Williams and Edge.
Or try to find a Steve Slayton or better RB than Watson in the free agent pool. Maybe Maurice Morris?

Thanks for your input Z. I actually drafted Gostkowski in the 12th round. Folk went right before him. I'll look to present a package deal in order to get better at the RB postion. Thanks again

First of all, I'd like to say, nice draft for a rookie. I remember my first draft as a rookie, and it definitely didn't turn out as well as yours did. I'll analyze your team by position.
QBs: Everybody thinks Anderson is going to be a bust this season, but with the offense he has, it's going to be pretty difficult to do. Garrard is a great backup to have because you always know he's going to put up decent numbers.
RBs: With your RBs you have a top RB1, a RB3, and two backups. Like Z said, try to package one of your WRs and Edge for a true RB2 or try to trade Fitz for a WR2 and a Thomas Jones like RB.
WRs: Without looking at the rosters in your league, I can tell you probably have either the best or 2nd best group of WRs. You have 2 WR1s and a WR2.
TE: Clark will once again play like a top 5 TE so no worries at your TE position.
Def: If your league counts defense as defense/special teams, your pick of Chicago's D got THAT much sweeter.
K: Good kicker on a great offense
Also, check who's on your waiver wire. If you can get a RB like Chris Perry, Chris Johnson, or Maurice Morris, grab them immediately. The first 2 will most likely be gone, but Morris could be there. Another possible trade offer is for you to offer Chester Taylor and a WR to the Adrian Peterson owner for a good RB.
Keep us informed on what's going on in your league.
Anthony

Thanks Anthony. Really good feedback and info. My league does count special teams so that's why I went with Chi (Hester is a beast). The Adrian Peterson team is weak at WR and he's got Jones-Drew and Deangelo Williams. Thanks again for taking the time to rank my team and offer suggestions. Much appreciated! Chris

No problem Feltsc. I'm hoping Steven Jackson has the type of season he is capable of since I own him as well

I am going to go against the grain a little. I want to say that first of all, nice job for a rookie. Secondly, I wouldn't trade James. I would keep him as your 3rd RB. Target a team stacked in RB's that needs a WR and you all could probably pull off a deal to land you a very solid RB2. I wouldn't touch Fitz or Johnson though. -Bruno Boys Ziza Site: www.brunoboys.netEmail: cziza@brunoboys.net AOL Aim: BrunoBoys Ziza
