i see that rivers rank higher than schaub in the weekly rankings, but is this trumped with houston playing oakland and rivers playing TB? as bb steger stated, riding those who always start without consider matchups may lose you the big prize. thoughts?

I have the same question. If I start Rivers I have Tomlinson, jackson and Gates to help him. If I start Schaub I have Andre Johnson and Steve Slaton to help him. What to do, what to do. They are both projected for 31 points in my league.

pits and bam, Yes we do have Rivers ranked higher then Schaub this week, but they are real close in the rankings and within a couple of points of each other. They are both QB1's this week. Schaub has the better match-up going against the Raiders. The Texans have looked real good since Shcaub has returned from injury and he always seems to find A. Johnson for big yardage. Rivers has also been hot of late, but he does have the tougher match-up. He is an elite level QB that will find a way to get the job done, even against a tough defense. He has V. Jackson and A. Gates to help him along in the passing game, but the running game has not been what we all expected at the beginning of the season. I don't think you could go wrong with either QB this week, but if it was me I would go with Schaub. I would play the match-up. The Raiders rank 25th in points allowed and Schaub should pick them apart. He has a solid running game with Slaton to offer balance and keep the defense honest. A. Johnson has been one of the best receivers in the league of late and should once again go for well over 100 yards with a TD or two. I like Schaub for near 300 and at least 2 TD this week. Rivers should also have a solid day, but will have to work a lot harder for it. Both these teams are out of the playoff picture, but the Texans have been playing like a team with something to prove lately and I don't expect they will let up on the Raiders. Good luck this week guys. Glad to see you are still playing in Week 16. Bring home your league's title. Hope this helps! -Bruno Boys Larry www.brunoboys.net
