Week 5: Submit Your Start 'em or Sit'em Questions

It's that time of the week once again. We need all of you guys to submit your Week 5 Start 'em or Sit'em Questions.

Last week, we were able to get to about 6 questions, but only from two different people. If you want to get some recognition and have your name and city mentioned on the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Show, reply to this post ASAP, with a questions about your team, and we will give you some loving on the air!

The show will be recorded on Wednesday night October 3 (thats an extra day for those of you keeping track). We will air on the website on either Thursday Night the 27th or Friday the 28th.

Also, if you have any suggestions on we can better our Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Show, shoot them our way. We are always up for reader/listener feedback.

Derrick Mason is still available as well. Since I am in a PPR league I may try to pick him up before you air this.

I have a flex dilemma. Gore and McGahee at RB. Marshall and Evans at WR. That leaves me one position to fill from Morris, Welker, and Berrian. Does the picture change if my waiver claim goes through on Bowe or Mason?

what about sitting Shaun Alexander this weekend with the Seahawks at Pittsburgh? Alexander hasn't exactly been racking up the yards so far and I doubt he has his breakout game against the Steelers Iron Curtain! I'm thinking of plugging in Sammy Morris who seems to get a TD every week regardless of how many carries he gets.

Do I start Henry and Bush and sit Gore against a stout Ravens run D, thus playing Wayne, Owens and Cotchery at the flex, or should I start all three of my RBs and sit Cotchery?

Reggie Brown
Santana Moss

Rhodes is not an option this week and either is Reggie Brown. I'm looking at starting Gore, Jones, Wayne and one other. I hear Santana Moss is injured and he's been a big disappointment. Now the thing is I have a chance to get both Patrick Crayton and Dwayne Bowie off the waiver wire. To do so though I'd have to waive Santana Moss and Reggie Brown (Assuming I got both). Who should I play and should I make a run at Crayton and Bowie?

WR/TE scoring is 0.25 PPR, 1 pt/25 yds (starting at 50 yds), 2 pt/100+ yds, 6 pt/TD + 6 bonus for 50+ TD's... RB scoring is the same minus 0.25 PPR

Should I start Fred Taylor, Kenton Keith, or Brandon Jones at Flex?

I already have Ronnie Brown at RB, Braylon Edwards, Steve Smith, and Tony Gonzalez at WR/TE.

Welcome to the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Forum. Keep the posts coming.

Go with Drew Brees against the Panthers. I think Schaub is the safer pick, but Brees could finally have a breakout game. The Carolina corners haven't been that good this year and they let Joey Harrington torch them a few weeks back.

If I own your squad, I am rolling with Drew Brees. I really think that the Saints will turn it around after the bye week. Plus, if Brees is bad again, stash him deep on your bench.

Pizza Boy,

I never thought I would be saying this.... but, if Maroney does not play, I strongly suggest using Morris over Shaun Alexander. It kills me to even think about benching a first round pick for a waiver wire pickup, but Alexander's matchup is TOUGH. In fact, the Steelers are approaching 30 games without allowing a 100 yard rusher and they should be able to bottle up Alexander all day. I predict no more than 70 yards and a possibility of a short TD out of him.

On the other hand, if Maroney sits out for a second straight week, look for Morris to have a field day against a Browns rush defense that allows 160 yards per game by ground.

First things first, welcome to the Bruno Boys Message Board. We always welcome new members, and hope that you keep on coming back!

As for your dilemma, things cleared up earlier today when the Ravens reported that Derrick Mason (12 projected points, non PPR) will indeed play. As always, he is a lock for 6-7 receptions, which is huge in PPR leagues. I am not sure if he was a flex consideration, but seeing that you already have Edwards and Smith , i am going to assume he is.

To break it down, if Addai doesn't play, use Keith over Taylor, Jones and Mason at your flex position. But if Addai plays, use Mason at your flex position.

Welcome to the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Forum. We are always happy to get new members and we hope you enjoy what we have to offer.

the 3 wide receivers you should go with are:

Donald Driver- Great Matchup, look for him to rebound from a subpar week 4. We have him projected at 20 fantasy points!

Dwayne Bowe- Hot hand, has scored in 3 straight games. Gets a Jaguars pass defense that allows about 150 yards per game, but Huard targets him often. Projected points- 13 (lets hope he gets a TD)

Greg Jennings- With Walker hurt and Stallworth stumbling, Jennings is the easy choice. He has scored in two straight and look for Favre to throw the football over 40 times again in this one. Projected Points- 11

Who should I play and should I make a run at Crayton and Bowie?

Sorry for the late response, your question got buried in all of the other questions from this threat. Please sign up for the forum, it will make it easier for us to track. So I am assuming that you got either Crayton or Bowe off of the waiver wire. So I will include them in the lineup help.

RB- Go with Gore. He doesn't have a great matchup, but I can see him getting 70 yards and a TD.

WR- Wayne - No questions asked, great matchup and with Harrison ailing, it will be the Reggie Wayne show.

Flex - Thomas Jones- Should be able to run inside and outside the tackle against the Giants. However, the Jets have stayed away from him in the red zone.

Flex - Crayton or Bowe- If you got both, go with Bowe. He has scored in 3 straight games and has been consistently getting yardage on top of the TD's. However, if you didn't get either player, it's a toss up. Basically, if Santana Moss plays use him, but if he doesn't go with Derrick Ward.
